Rental Terms: The Basic Wedding Package includes rental of the ceremony and reception sites, and a 40×75 tent fully assembled. Rental of the Great Northern Resort wedding venue includes time for set-up and rehearsal one day before the event, and time for clean-up one day after the event. Great Northern Resort will furnish electricity and restrooms to the reception site. The wedding party is responsible for all set up, clean up and vendor coordination. (**Please note that set-up, clean-up and vendor coordination services are included in both of our coordination packages.**)
Reservation Deposit: Your reservation is not guaranteed until we receive your deposit and signed contract. The remaining balance, including any fees for additional requested services, must be paid forty-five (45) days prior to your event.
Event Hours: If the wedding party has rented all five Great Northern Resort chalets for the weekend of the event, the reception can continue until 12:00 midnight. If the wedding party has not rented all five chalets, the reception can continue until 10:00pm.
Event Lodging Policy: The wedding party may block off the five chalets at Great Northern Resort for the exclusive use of their guests. The wedding party may choose to pay for all lodging or have guests call to book individually. The chalets will be held for the wedding party under the bride’s name until February 1. All Great Northern Resort cancellation policies apply.
Clean-up Policy: (**Please note that clean-up services are included in both of our coordination packages.**) All food and beverage trash must be removed from the ceremony and reception areas as soon as the event ends and taken to our dumpsters. Flowers, décor, tables, etc, can be cleared the following morning. Both the ceremony and reception sites must be fully cleaned and restored to their original condition by 3:00pm the day after the event.
Vendor/Vehicle Policy: The wedding party is responsible for ensuring that all vendor deliveries and wedding guests comply with Great Northern Resort policies. Vehicles may only drive on defined gravel driveways. A separate driveway exists for vendor use. The gravel paths leading up to the ceremony and reception areas are for foot traffic only, with the exception of elderly or mobility-impaired wedding guests who may be shuttled up the hill on designated driveways.
Parking Policy: Parking for wedding guests is available in the designated field near the trailhead to the wedding site.
Alcohol Policy: The wedding party must ensure that all service, sale and/or consumption of alcohol during the event complies with Montana State Alcohol Laws. The wedding party assumes all responsibility for any and all liabilities deriving from the consumption of alcohol at the event, or must provide a certificate of insurance to that effect.
Weather: The ceremony location at Great Northern Resort is entirely outdoors. In the event of bad weather, the reception tent may be used to house both the ceremony and the reception.
Wedding Insurance Policy: A certificate of insurance for the event day is required. Wedding insurance can be obtained through your homeowner’s insurance policy, Fireman’s Fund (800-ENGAGED) or Wedsafe.com
